In celebration of the 15th season of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Glenn Howerton, Rob McElhenney, and Charlie Day announced Four Walls, an Irish-American Whiskey plus a rare and collectible Irish Single Malt paying tribute to bars and bartenders.
The brand’s flagship expression, Four Walls, The Better Brown, is a combination of triple distilled Irish whiskey from the Great Northern Distillery that’s mingled with a touch of Wigle Pennsylvania Rye by lead blender Taylor Bostock. Both the American and Irish distillates have been aged five years. The liquid retails for $89 and while supply is limited for now, fans can try the whiskey at special events over the coming months including The Always Sunny Podcast live events at Bourbon & Beyond festival and at The Met Philadelphia.
Hardcore fans of ‘Sunny” and collectible Irish whiskey will covet Four Walls Single Malt, a rare whiskey aged 15+ years and bottled at cask strength. This whiskey is born of malted two-row barley distilled in a combination of pot and column stills at the Cooley distillery, which was built by John Teeling in 1987. With only 755 bottles in existece, the whiskey comes with signed memorabilia from the show and retails for $999. Proceeds from both expressions will be donated to HARP, an organization that assists hospitality workers across Pennsylvania.
“We wanted to create a brand celebrating the four walls that have held our favorite memories in and kept our troubles out,” states Sunny’s Glenn Howerton. “We were shooting Season 15 when bars were shutting down all across America. So we decided to source some really great whiskeys and create something as a tribute to the bar and kick it off by giving back,” adds Rob McElhenney. “We learned just how rare and how collectible old Irish Whiskey is, and we couldn’t believe we got our hands on some and wanted to release it and do something for the people and places that do so much for all of us – the bars and the bartenders,” says Charlie Day.
